Finding Your Colours in Cape Cod🐚: My First U.S. Colour Analysis Event with Mahi Gold

There’s something magical about Cape Cod. The salty air, the charming streets of Chatham, and the unmistakable nautical vibe — it all set the perfect scene for my very first colour analysis event in the States.

I had the incredible opportunity to team up with Mahi Gold, a gorgeous boutique right in the heart of downtown Chatham, and spend a day doing what I love most: helping women discover their best colours.

Meeting Wonderful Women of All Walks of Life

One of the best parts of this event? The people. I met so many lovely women — locals, visitors, and everything in between — who were eager to better understand their colours. Many of them had never had a colour analysis before, and you could feel the excitement as they began to see how the right shades could brighten their features and transform their wardrobes.

Cape Cod Style: A Sea of Summer Pastels

It probably comes as no surprise that the dominant palette I saw in Cape Cod was summer pastels. Baby blue, periwinkle, cornflower, and crisp white were everywhere — from the clothes in Mahi Gold to the scenery around us. It’s a very nautical, breezy aesthetic that perfectly matches the Cape Cod lifestyle.

But here’s the newsflash: not everyone is a Summer! While these shades are dreamy for those with soft, cool-toned complexions, they don’t work for all the other seasons. Autumns need warmth and depth, Springs need brightness, and Winters need strong contrast. This is exactly why colour analysis is so empowering — it helps you find what works for you, even in a place where one style seems to dominate.

Why This Event Meant So Much

This event wasn’t just about clothes or colours — it was about confidence. Watching someone light up when they see themselves in their best shades is the heart of why I do what I do. Partnering with Mahi Gold made it even more special, as their carefully curated collections gave us plenty of beautiful pieces to explore in each client’s palette.
